Vijayawada: YSRCP regional coordinator for North Andhra and TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy on Tuesday rubbished reports in a section of the media that spiritual guru and astrologer Vijay Kumar (Swami) called on Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss bailing out Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy from CBI case filed in connection with the murder of former Minister YS Vivekananda Reddy.

He told the media that certain media houses close to the TDP were behind spreading such 'false and concocted' reports and declared that there was neither politics nor CBI case figure during the meeting at Tadepalli. "There was no lobbying at the meeting and what the Chief Minister sought was only blessings for the wellbeing of the people of Andhra Pradesh," he pointed out.

Subba Reddy said the Chief Minister and himself had high regards for spiritual and religious gurus and claimed that Vijay Kumar Swami came in a chartered aircraft engaged by Chinta Visweswara Rao of Navayuga Engineering Company, a close relative of Ch Ramoji Rao, founder of Eenadu Group.

He said he had been meeting the spiritual leader in Mysore, his place of stay and other places and requested all not to politicise such meetings. He has accompanied with Swami to Tadepalli, home of the Chief Minister, along with Visweswara Rao's son Chinta Sasidhar.
